The term "Christian media" is often limited to evangelical media. Since at least the 1950s evangelical media have indeed dominated Christian media worldwide. But there have always been other Christian media, such as Catholic and mainline Protestant media.
Robert H. Woods Jr. and other Christian media colleagues and I have examined the Christian media landscape in order clarify the role of evangelical Christians in both Christian media and non-Christian media (sometimes called "secular media"). This website highlights our efforts and provides many Christian media resources especially for the study of evangelical Christian media.
